The Equal Access Library at the Hillcrest Centre is part of the wider East Sussex County Library Service. The Library is primarily a Distribution Centre for providing books on tape and CD to people throughout the County with visual impairments.

There is also a wide selection of Reminiscence memorabilia for those working in Day Centres, Care Homes, etc.

Situated in the library are three People’s Network computers which are available for anyone who is a member of the Library Service to use.

Anyone interested in learning Braille or British Sign Language can find beginners guides in book form and on tape in the Library

The Library is officially open every Tuesday, but is also available on Wednesdays and Fridays.

As the library is based on two sites, Mondays and Thursdays are kept flexible to accommodate work on the second site.
