The Heritage Plus project in Newhaven and Peacehaven is run across Sussex and celebrates community and individual histories. To do this the project provides people over 55 with regular heritage related activities such as Creative ‘Life Story’ writing workshops, Introduction to family history and reminiscence workshops.

The project also undertakes oral history interviews, organises day trips to local heritage sites and events. Events held have included include the bringing together of young and old to discuss World War 11 and 1940’s Tea dances.

The project has been running for over two years now and has met many people with important stories to tell about the War, Occupations, Courtship, Childhood and School Days.
